SmartFTP Client

SmartFTP Client connects a Windows PC to remote file servers and cloud storage through a single tabbed interface. It speaks the common transfer protocols (FTP, FTPS, SFTP over SSH and WebDAV) and can also mount object storage and consumer cloud drives as if they were ordinary remote folders, so the same drag-and-drop workflow covers a web host, an S3 bucket and a OneDrive account.

The transfer engine handles the details that matter on unreliable links: several concurrent connections per session, automatic reconnection, resuming of interrupted transfers, on-the-fly compression, and checksum verification of completed files. Server-to-server (FXP) transfers move data directly between two remote hosts without routing it through the local machine. Beyond plain copying, the client can synchronize local and remote folders, open remote files in a built-in editor and write them straight back, and preview images before downloading. Stored credentials can be pulled from external password managers rather than kept in the application itself.

The product is sold in three tiers, and the feature split follows the storage back ends. The Professional tier covers the standard protocols plus synchronization and remote editing; Ultimate adds OneDrive and Amazon S3 along with scheduled transfers and email notifications; Enterprise adds Google Cloud Storage, Backblaze B2 and Box, plus terminal sessions over SSH and Telnet, and scheduling of whole transfer queues.

It suits developers deploying sites, system administrators maintaining servers, and anyone whose work involves recurring bulk transfers to mixed destinations. It is less suitable for occasional use or for people who only need one cloud drive, since there is no permanently free version and each of the interesting integrations sits in a higher tier. Linux and macOS users should look elsewhere; this is a Windows-only application.
