Revo Uninstaller

Revo Uninstaller is a Windows utility for removing installed software more thoroughly than the built-in Windows uninstaller. When a program is removed, it first runs that program's own uninstaller and then scans the system for anything left behind, such as stray files, folders, and Windows Registry entries, and lets the user delete them.

Beyond program removal, it can manage and remove pre-installed and user-installed Windows Store apps, and includes a Hunter mode that lets the user drag a target icon onto a running program's window or system tray icon to locate and uninstall software that doesn't show up in the usual list. The free edition also bundles a set of smaller cleanup tools covering things like autorun entry management, junk file removal, and browser history and cache cleanup.

This free edition is aimed at users who want a straightforward way to keep their system free of leftover clutter from uninstalled software. The publisher also sells a separate Pro edition on a subscription basis, which adds features such as forced uninstall for stubborn or corrupted programs, deeper leftover scanning, real-time installation monitoring, and backups before uninstalling; users who need those capabilities would need to upgrade rather than rely on this free version.
