DiskGenius

DiskGenius is a Windows disk management application from Eassos that bundles four areas of work into one interface. It creates, resizes, formats and deletes partitions on HDDs and SSDs, and converts drives between the MBR and GPT partitioning schemes without a reinstall.

The recovery side handles deleted or formatted files, partitions that no longer appear in Windows, drives that report as RAW, and volumes on RAID arrays, USB sticks and memory cards. Alongside this sit backup functions: partition and whole-disk cloning, image files, and migration of an existing Windows installation onto a different drive, which is the usual path when moving from a mechanical disk to an SSD.

A set of lower-level utilities rounds it out, including bad sector scanning, secure erase that overwrites data rather than just deleting it, S.M.A.R.T. health readings, conversion of dynamic disks back to basic, and editing of UEFI boot entries. These are the operations that normally need a separate tool each.

The program is aimed at IT staff, repair shops and confident home users who understand what a partition table is. Anyone who only wants scheduled file backups will find it heavier than necessary, and the destructive operations it exposes deserve care. The current release no longer runs on Windows XP, though an older build remains available for it.
