AdGuard

AdGuard is a system-wide ad-blocking application for Windows that filters ads, pop-ups, and video ads across all browsers and installed applications, rather than functioning as a single browser extension. It runs in the background and applies its filtering rules at the network level on the device.

Beyond ad blocking, the program checks visited websites against databases of known phishing and malware sources and blocks access to flagged pages. It also blocks trackers, analytics scripts, and third-party cookies, and can hide the device's IP address from sites it visits. A separate parental control module lets users restrict access to categories of content for other accounts on the same machine.

AdGuard suits users who want ad and tracker blocking that covers their whole system rather than a single browser, and families that need basic content filtering. The Windows app installs as a 14-day trial; continued use after that requires a paid license, sold either as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, each covering multiple devices across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
